Good Resilient Ceramic Fiber Modules Can Resist Mechanical External Forces

Ceramic fiber modules are made from good resilient ceramic fiber blankets, so the ceramic fiber modules also have good resilience. During the process of making modules, ceramic fibre blankets are folded, compressed and bundled with strapping tapes. After installation of the modules, the strapping tapes will be unbundled. The modules and the folded ceramic fiber blankets will expand and squeeze each other in different directions. This can form a whole tight lining and no expansion joint is required to reserve.

 

Ceramic fiber module is a light weight product. Its good resilience enables it to withstand mechanical external forces without damaging the furnace. It can protect the furnace shell from deformation under violent mechanical external forces and extend the service life of the furnace. The good resilient ceramic fiber module enables the furnace to do the mobile heating job or to be transported to other worksites. There are no gaps between the modules and the metal plates of the furnace shell. As a low density material, the heat storage is obviously better than that of the traditional heavy lining materials. It is especially suitable to be used as refractory fiber lining material for the intermittent furnace.

 

Ceramic fiber modules not only can resist mechanical external forces, but also have advantages of low thermal conductivity, thermal insulation, thermal shock resistance, energy saving effect, etc. The furnace lining does not need drying and can be put into use immediately after installation. The anchoring system is far from the hot surface of the furnace, so the metal anchoring is in a relatively low temperature which can provide safe environment for the workers during operation. The modules can be divided into Standard type module (use temperature 1000 degrees C), High purity module (use temperature 1100 degrees C), High aluminum module (use temperature 1200 degrees C), Zirconium aluminum module (use temperature 1260 degrees C), Zirconium ceramic fiber module (use temperature 1350 degrees C).
