Ceramic fiber modules are thermal insulation refractory materials made from aluminum silicate fiber blanket (ceramic fiber blanket) which are folded, compressed in a certain proportion and bundled into ceramic fiber modules. They are a good thermal insulation and energy saving products mainly divided into standard type, high purity type, high aluminum type, zirconium aluminum type, zirconium containing type. Their continuous working temperatures are from 1000℃ to 1350℃
Ceramic fiber module is made from spun ceramic fiber blankets. The raw materials are high quality stone clay and other small amount of ores. They are melted in the electric furnace at high temperature of more than 2000℃ and then turned into molten liquid. By centrifugal force, the molten liquid turns into spun ceramic fiber cotton. Through double sides needling, it becomes a very strong blanket. The modules made from spun ceramic fiber blanket have many excellent properties and are widely used in the petrochemical, metallurgical, construction, electronic and other fields.
They have high temperatures resistance and can be used as excellent refractory fiber lining materials for high temperature furnaces and kilns. They are Class A fireproof product which have incombustible property and can effectively isolate the fire source. They also have heat preservation property. The uniform and fine cotton fiber structure makes the thermal insulation property of the product very good.
Ceramic fiber modules made from spun ceramic fiber blankets have very high tensile strength because the diameters of the spun fiber are thicker and longer than the blown fiber. The spun ceramic fiber blankets are strong and not easy to break when they are folded and compressed into modules and used in high temperature conditions. If they are used in the neutral and oxidizing conditions for a long time, they can maintain good tensile strength and toughness and the fiber structure also keeps good and completed.
Ceramic fiber modules are soft and light weight products which possess strong thermal shock resistance. They can protect the furnaces, kilns and other high temperature equipments and prolong their service life.
They have excellent anti-corrosion resistance. The molecules of the modules are not active and will not react with many chemical substances. Therefore, they have stable chemical property and can protect the furnaces and high temperature equipments from chemical substance attack.
