According to different temperatures and different raw materials, ceramic fibers in China are divided into 6 types. The classification temperature refers to the limit temperature of ceramic fiber, that is, the highest temperature that ceramic fiber can reach when used in a short period of time. Each classification temperature has a corresponding continuous working temperature which is lower than the classification temperature. The classification temperature and the continuous working temperature of ceramic fiber inChina are as follows:

1. Common type ceramic fiber: classification temperature 1260℃, continuous working temperature 950℃

2. Standard type ceramic fiber: classification temperature 1260℃, continuous working temperature 1000℃

3. High purity type ceramic fiber: classification temperature 1260℃, continuous working temperature 1100℃

4. High aluminum type ceramic fiber: classification temperature 1400℃, continuous working temperature 1200℃

5. Zirconium aluminum type ceramic fiber: classification temperature 1400℃, continuous working temperature 1260℃

6. Zirconium type ceramic fiber: classification temperature 1430℃, continuous working temperature 1350℃

The classification temperature is important, because it is closely related to the continuous working temperature and is the main reference basis in the process of ceramic fiber application. Ceramic fiber blanket is the most important product in a series of ceramic fiber products and it is also classified as 6 types according to the corresponding temperature of the ceramic fiber. We usually do not recommend our customers to use the Common type ceramic fiber blanket, because it has higher impurity content, relatively poor quality and low continuous working temperature. Therefore, sometime we say that there are 5 types of ceramic fiber blankets. Among these 5 types, the Standard type ceramic fiber blanket is the most popular one, because its quality is good and price is competitive. It can meet the needs of most high temperature occasions. The High aluminum type ceramic fiber blanket has a higher continuous working temperature, but its alumina content is high and it is relatively brittle. Zirconium type ceramic fiber blanket is the high quality product. It is the highest temperature blanket among ceramic fiber blankets, but its price is more expensive.
