The use of ceramic fiber lining has the advantages of small heat storage loss, energy saving and fast heating, especially for intermittent furnace. Ceramic fiber linings also have the characteristics of soft, easy processing, convenient installation and so on. At present, the production and application of ceramic fiber products have been rapidly developed, and the use of the products in industrial fields such as metallurgical, petrochemical and other industries is becoming more and more essential. When ceramic fiber blanket, ceramic fiber module and ceramic fiber board are used as lining materials in various high temperature furnaces, kilns and other heating equipments, the energy saving effect is significant.

Ceramic fiber products are also heat and cold insulation material. They are mainly used in higher than the ambient temperature conditions to prevent heat outflow loss. They also can be used in lower than the ambient temperature conditions to prevent the heat flow in. When used in the former condition, they are often called heat insulation materials. When they are used in the latter condition, they are called cold insulation materials.
