Silicone rubber coated fire blanket is a high performance and multi-purpose composite material product. There are two types of silicone rubber coated fire blankets. It also can be used for wrapping around a person whose clothes are on fire and quickly smothering the fire to minimize burn injuries. The other type of silicone rubber coated fire blanket is made from silicone rubber coated high silica cloth. This fire blanket takes the high silica cloth as the basic cloth and then coated on the two sides of the high silica cloth with silicone rubber. High silica cloth can resist extremely high temperature, usually as high as 1000℃. After the cloth is coated with silicone rubber, it feels very smooth. The grey color silicone rubber coated high silica cloth is very suitable to be used as the material for making car fire blanket which is a fire fighting instrument used in situations when the car is on fire. When the fire breaks out, use a car fire blanket to cover on the car. It can put out the fire instantly and protect the car in a good condition. It also can prevent the fire spreading and protect the surroundings from fire burning. Car fire blanket also can take silicone rubber coated fiberglass cloth as the basic cloth material, but silicone rubber coated high silica cloth can resist higher temperature and more suitable for making car fire blanket. The silicone rubber coated high silica fire blanket is expensive than the silicone rubber coated fiberglass fire blanket. The size of the car fire blanket is usually large than the common fire blanket. The sizes of the products also can be custom made.

It should be noticed that both fire blankets can be used when a small fire occurs. If a big fire breaks out, we are still required to call the firemen to put out the fire.
