Silicone coated fiberglass cloth, also known as silicone rubber coated fiberglass cloth, is made from glass fiber cloth and silicone rubber coating. The glass cloth is used as the basic fabric and the silicone rubber is used to coat on the surface of the glass fabric. It combines the advantages of fiberglass cloth with the advantages of silicone rubber coating, making it a high performance fabric with more advantages either than the uncoated fiberglass cloth or the silicone rubber coating.

First, with a layer of silicone rubber on the surface of the fiberglass cloth, it has the advantage of flatness and dust free. When handling it, it will not drop small pieces of fiber or fiber dust from the cloth. The fabric feels smooth. It has no small thorns on its surface and will not prick people’s hands when touching it.

Its chemical resistance is better than the uncoated fiberglass cloth. The cloth can resist corrosion of a variety of chemical substances to protect chemical equipments from acid, alkaline and other chemical substance attack.

Fourth, with a layer of silicone rubber on its surface, silicone rubber coated fiberglass cloth has the advantage of excellent durability and high abrasive properties. It is not easy to be damaged when bending, dragging and pulling and can extend its service life.

Fifth, silicone coated fiberglass is a flat and flexible fabric. It can be easily cut, sewn and installed according to different needs. The cloth can be made into removable insulation jacket, fabric expansion joint, fireproof clothing, fireproof curtain, fireproof gloves, etc.
