Glass fiber cloth, also known as fiberglass cloth, is a kind of high temperature resistant fabric which has excellent physical and chemical properties and can be widely used in aviation, construction, marine, transportation and other fields. Glass fiber adopts waste glass as the raw material. At the high temperature of about 1200°C, the waste glass turns into melting liquid. Through drawing, winding and weaving, the glass fiber cloth is finished. The high temperature resistance of the glass cloth is mainly determined by the nature of the raw material. Glass is a high temperature resistant material, so its product glass fiber cloth has superior high temperature resistant property. Manufacturing process and material quality of the specific cloth are also important to the temperature resistant effect. In general, fiberglass cloth can resist high temperature from 400°C to 500°C. The temperature of the glass cloth can be further improved by special process treatment.

The temperature resistant effect of the glass fiber cloth is also affected by other factors, such as the density and thickness of the fabric and the type of cloth weaving. Different kinds of glass cloth may differ in heat temperature resistance, so when selecting and using, it needs to be confirmed according to the specific application environment and requirements. Although glass cloth has a high temperature resistant property, it is also required to be used within the use temperature range in practical applications. If it is used exceeding the temperature requirement, it will affect its performance or even damage the cloth.
