Fiberglass reinforced plastic yacht (FRP yacht) is manufactured from a composite material composed of glass fiber (glass fiber woven roving and glass fiber mat) and chemical resins. Because fiberglass reinforced plastic yacht has many advantages, now most of the yachts are made from FRP.

Fiberglass reinforced plastic yacht has excellent processing property. In the process and construction of the FRP yacht, it can be made into various shapes and sizes according to requirements. The yacht hull shape is complex and it has many curves, angles, arcs, streamlines. If metal material is used to build yacht, its construction is very complex and it needs to do a lot of welding work. However, fiberglass yacht can be designed freely. The angles, arcs, streamlines and bends of the yacht can be made in the mold, and the molding is integrated. This can make the FRP yacht good looking and can meet passenger’s requirements.

Fiberglass reinforced plastic yacht has the advantage of noise insulation property. Its hull can reduce the transmission of noise and vibration, providing better comfort and riding experience for passengers. The hull can better isolate from outside noise than the metal hulls, allowing people on board to enjoy a more tranquil environment.

Fiberglass reinforced plastic yacht can reduce the maintenance cost. Compared with metal yachts, the maintenance cost of FRP yacht is lower. It does not rust or corrode, reducing the need for anti-rust and anti-corrosion coatings and this can reduce the cost of maintenance and repair.
